Meet Judy Gallagher
“Photography has been part of my life since I was fifteen, when my chemistry teacher encouraged me to join the school photography club. What began as a way to earn extra credit quickly grew into a lifelong passion. That small nudge opened the door to a lifelong practice of looking closely, noticing, and translating what I see into images.
Having started in the darkroom with film and then transitioned to digital, I combine traditional craft with contemporary tools. Along the way, I’ve been honored with awards and have exhibited my work at community art centers in the Philadelphia area. For me, photography is both exploration and connection: a way to frame the beauty in the ordinary, and to share the way I see with others.”
